Register with the Department of TaxesYou will need to complete an Application for Business Tax Account form. You can use this application to register for sales tax, corporation income tax, business entity income tax, income tax withholding, and more. Mail or fax your application to the Department of Taxes.Sales Tax: Vermont has a 6% state sales tax. Income Tax:Individual Income Tax rates range from 3.55% to 8.95% C Corporation Income Tax – for income up to $10,000, tax is 6%.
